For the Philadelphia Union squad, having had Freddy Adu, the young superstar phenom play for the team the past few years has really given them a boost. Not only the team, but the fans have appreciated the skill he brought, and the passion he brought on the field. But, recently Adu has made the decision to leave the team, and consider going overseas, looking for tougher competition to compete against, and really improve his skill set against the foreign players. Many MLS players eventually make this trip either to Europe, or South American leagues, where there is much more competition, and the games are much tougher to play in.

So, Adu has decided to join these leagues, in hopes of building up his strength, and hopefully becoming a better player, not just for the US in the upcoming 2014 World Cup, but in hopes of improving his overall game for whatever league he lands in.
